Royal Family Did Not Attend Lilibet Baptism
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle invited Royal Family such as King Charles III, Queen Consort Camilla, Prince William, and Kate Middleton. But unfortunately, the four did not come to Lilibet’s christening.
Meghan Markle’s mother Doria Ragland, Lilibet’s godfather actor Tyler Perry, and an unnamed godmother attended Lilibet Diana’s christening ceremony.
Lilibet Diana’s christening ceremony was attended by 20-30 guests. After the christening, guests were treated to food and dancing. In fact, Archie enjoyed dancing with his little sister.
Why Royal Family did not attend
The news of Lilibet Diana’s christening came days after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were evicted from Frogmore Cottage by King Charles III. After being evicted, Harry and Meghan confirmed a few days later that they had baptized Lilibet Diana.
Apparently, King Charles III, Queen Consort Camilla, Prince William, and Kate Middleton were unable to attend due to the busy royal schedule. Not only a busy schedule, but the distance between the UK and the United States is quite far, requiring the Royal Family to organize their time in advance.
The Royal Family’s activities from February 25 to March 3, 2023 are quite busy, as described by the Daily Mail. From the Royal Family’s official website, their busy schedule seems to be the answer to the alleged ‘snubbed’ the christening of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s second child.
Harry and Meghan’s ‘Revenge’ to the Coronation of King Charles III
Prince Harry and Meghan Mstkle seemed to avenge the Royal Family’s absence at Lilibet Diana’s christening when they received an invitation to attend the coronation of King Charles III.
It is known, Harry and Meghan have confirmed receiving an invitation to the King’s coronation via email. However, the lovebirds were reluctant to give an answer to their attendance.
“I can confirm that the Duke recently received email correspondence from His Majesty’s office regarding the coronation,” a spokesman for the couple said, quoted by the BBC on March 6, 2023.
“An immediate decision on whether the Duke and Duchess will attend will not be disclosed at this time,” he said.
Apparently, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle avenged the Royal Family’s absence at Lilibet Diana’s christening by not giving a definite answer to the coronation of King Charles III.
So, will Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s ‘revenge’ continue until the coronation of King Charles III on May 6, 2023? Moreover, their first child, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, was born on the same day. Archie’s 4th birthday and the coronation of King Charles III will fall on the same day.
